The Building Structure

Identify the building type/style, such as Detached House, Flat, Semi-Detached, Listed Building, Rented Building, Council Building, Maisonette, or Bungalow. Ensure that proper approval has been obtained for the installation.

 

Additional details to be documented and reviewed include:

  • ⇨ Roof Style: Pitched or flat?
  • ⇨ Access to fixing points in construction material: Joists/other; from above, below, or not at all?
  • ⇨ Number of floors where the system is to be installed.
  • ⇨ Presence of fire boarding and it’s location – floor or wall mounted.
  • ⇨ Presence of asbestos – checked against an asbestos register.
