In this scenario, the ceiling lift LCD displays “High Current” and the audible alarm will continuously beep for 3 seconds
Has the ceiling lift been overloaded during use?
(Required)
Select Yes or No
Yes
No
When the SWL (Safe Working Load) of the ceiling lift is exceeded, the ceiling lift will cut power to avoid excessive loading.
Inform the user that the SWL must not be exceeded during use. (The SWL can be located on the main label and in the User Manual)

Is the ceiling lift PCB set at the correct amps?
(Required)
Select Yes or No
Yes
No
See correct amp setting for each ceiling lift load:
440lb = 20amps
600lb = 24amps
The amp setting can be found in the lifts program mode.
Set the ceiling lift amps to the correct amp draw for the lifts SWL.
For guidance on how to access and edit in program mode, see the program mode guide sheet.

Has the motor and hub gearing warn/jammed?
(Required)
Select Yes or No
Yes
No
If there is excessive wear such as swarf from the frictional components, or frayed lift tape within the gearing of the ceiling lift, this will jam the rotation of the hub/motor, causing the lift to indicate “High Current”
Clear the swarf/wear from the gearing and inspect the condition. If there is excessive wear on the hub then the component must be replaced.
If the lift tape has frayed within the gears, the lift tape must be replaced.
