Ceiling Lift doesn’t Traverse

In this scenario, the ceiling lift has power and performs the usual lifting and lowering actions, but does not respond to traversing commands from the handset.

Are the ceiling lift wheels slipping in the track?(Required)

Inspect the internal profile of the track to see if the wheels are spinning during traverse commands. Inspect the track for any swarf, debris or liquid which may be causing the slippage.

Clear and clean the track internal profile to improve the traction.

Yes

Inspect the track system to ensure it is level, the ceiling lift will struggle to traverse if the system is not horizontal.

If the track is not horizontal, then refer to the installation manual on how to set the track system correctly.

Is the handset damaged?(Required)

The handset traverse buttons or air tubes may be damaged/leaking.

Is the drive/traverse motor cable connected to the PCB?(Required)

Plug the drive/traverse motor cable back into the PCB

Is the drive motor cable damaged?(Required)

Inspect the full length of the drive motor cables and connection points.

Replace the drive motor assembly
